What is the difference between a USB 2.0 and a USB 3.0?

USB 2.0 devices can operate at a maximum of 480Mbps = High Speeds. USB 3.0 devices can operate at a maximum speed of 5Gbps = Super Speeds. Also USB 3.0 has more pins compared to USB 2.0 which has 4 pins, VBus, D+, D- and GND.
