Question: For this step up DC converter, If I use a cigarette lighter adapter on the output side and connect a power pack for input, is it the same as plugging into a cars cigarette lighter?

Answer: it won't be exact the same. As the cable is long, so there has line loss on current and voltage. It can't be avoid completely. But our cable use 22AWG copper as conductor, it's thick, so can cut down the line loss at the maximum. If choose output 12 volts, which is car's rate, it still work but current lower than 2A.
